How it works
Pick your number
Search by city, state or area code — New York, Florida, 212 — or skip all of that and take the first US number that is free.
Pay $4.99
One month, one number. Stripe handles the card; the card details never reach us.
Make the call
Your browser asks for the microphone once. Then you dial. Nothing to install, no SIM card, no desk phone.
One number, the whole team
Invite people by email. There is no charge per person, so the price does not change when someone joins.
When your number rings, everyone with ringing switched on rings at once, and whoever answers first takes the call — the rest stop immediately. If nobody picks up, the call goes to a fallback phone you nominate, and then to voicemail.
Call history, voicemail and contacts are shared, and every call records who answered it.
Notes from your calls
After a call you chose to record, we transcribe it and write up what happened: a short summary, what the other side asked for, what you agreed to, and the follow-ups worth chasing. Notes only come from calls you record, and recording is yours to switch on or leave off.
The notes sit downstream of the telephone, never in front of it. If the transcription fails, nothing about the call is lost — the recording, the history and the number carry on as normal.

Questions
Do I need to be in the United States?
No. That is the point. You need a browser and a decent internet connection. The number is American; you do not have to be.
Where can I call?
The United States and Canada. Everywhere else is switched off, which also keeps an account from running up a bill overnight if its credentials are ever stolen.
Is there an iPhone or Android app?
No. It runs in a web browser, and that is the whole product. Native apps are not part of this launch.
Can it send text messages?
No. There is no SMS or MMS. It is a number for calls and voicemail.
Can I bring my existing number?
Not yet. At launch you choose a new US number from us. Moving an existing number across comes later.
Can I use it for emergency calls?
No. Do not rely on this number to reach 911 or any other emergency service. Keep a mobile or a landline for that.
Support
This is a small team running a narrow paid beta. The numbers, the calls and the billing are real; the feature list is short on purpose.
If a call sounds wrong, email support@example.com with roughly when you made it. We keep enough detail on every call to tell you what actually happened to that one, rather than guessing.
